Birding

Birding can be incorporated naturally into many AfghanTours itineraries.

Travel through Afghanistan passes through mountain valleys, wetlands, agricultural areas and other landscapes where travelers may have opportunities to observe local birdlife. If birding is one of several interests, tell us in advance and our guides can allow additional time for observation and photography where practical.

For dedicated birders looking for particular species, habitats or regions, a private itinerary is usually the better option.
