Sightseeing

Sightseeing is the backbone of most Afghan journeys and can be arranged from every active hub.

Contexts

Sightseeing spans historic sites, religious places, scenic viewpoints, and market streets. Sub-themes (historical, religious, scenic, markets) may use shared imagery under the experiences/activities asset tree without changing public URLs. Shopping is a separate top-level activity (/activities/shopping/), not a sightseeing subtype — do not treat sightseeing/shopping/ media as canonical.

How hubs use it

Each hub page lists sightseeing because city and nearby field visits are core to how that hub functions as a travel base. Attractions remain their own pages; sightseeing is the activity class that groups the visit style.

Planning

Access, opening patterns, and crowd conditions vary. Specific site sequences are confirmed during itinerary planning — this page does not invent timed entry tickets or fixed circuits.
